For anyone who doesn't read the blog I am working on something a bit different and all my existing comics are on hiatus. But Zoe fans that are 18 or older you might want to check out Zoe Carefree a xrated continuation of the Zoe story. The first one should be finished by the end of tomorrow and I've been updating with each newly finished page.

I need a couple things to be able to realistically keep this site going at a decent pace, as you may have noticed the past couple of months there has been less consistency in the updates, that is due to 2 things; a lack of free time and not having a comfortable seat to make long hours drawing bearable.
This fundraiser is to raise 300$ for a new computer chair and a tablet. The chair will make drawing at the computer much less of a chore and the tablet will allow me to work on the site even when away from my computer, such as during lunch breaks at work. With these 2 things I should be able to get the site back on track a bit.

for a 10$ donation you get an exclusive ebook that is 13 pages of Zoe doing things I would never show on this site (must be 18 or older sort of things) You can get a peak at a censored version of the comic in the ebook by voting for the site on TWC and visiting the incentive page, but this version is heavilly censored to make it acceptable on the site.

for 25$ you get that ebook plus you get a commissioned drawing of whatever you want. (nothing illegal like lolicon and whatnot) It can be as sex related or it could be as family friendly as you want.

I've never used Gofundme before, if it allows for more than 100% of the fundraiser goal to be reached and it exceeds that amount anything extra will go towards advertising costs on the site and stuff like that. I don't make any money off this site. It is done solely as a hobby and I can't afford to continue putting my money into the site for advertising so I appreciate any help you can give.  Don't make me put Sarah Migloclan (don't care how to spell her name) music on here to get you guys to open your hearts (think of the poor animals! lol).

I originally planned to do this as a 1 page comic but have wanted to focus more on the plot point that Zoe herself is an artist. So this, like the origin comic, is drawn in her style. I am going to see about doing more of these as it time passes, in Chapter 3 along with the blossoming of their relationship there will also be a focus on what's next, for Zoe she is interested in illustrating and writing children's stories.
It rained like crazy today, thundered a lot too.
Also this file was ridiculous, to have it saved as a 11 quality JPEG (2nd highest quality) would of been 7.5mb! Each page of the Zoe comics are saved usually at 11, if under 1.5 for 12 I save them as 12. I have never seen one of my drawings take more than 1.8mb before. I guess using a bunch of filters like crosshatching and all to try to make it look sketched by hand takes up a lot of space. In the future I will just use a fine brush and do the legwork myself so the filesize isn't crazy. 

Sorry this took a month to get done. I plan to upload Zoe 17 in 2 parts so that this doesn't happen again. As chapter 2 starts coming to a close Damien finally gets some clarification as to what their relationship is, but still doesn't get that kiss ;)
Next week will be a April themed 1 page comic that I came up with a long time ago then will get to work on Zoe 17 which is the last comic of Chapter 2.

Happy Easter everyone. Here is a Easter themed wallpaper for your computer or whatever. Again I don't have Zoe 16 done, realistically I probably won't have it next week either because I still need to do the Sexy Bunny Day wallpaper for Sunday. I have 1 panel done on page 2 of Zoe 16 and been too busy to get the page done. It is only a 3 page comic but there are a lot of panels in it. Likely I will do another Joke next Thursday and try for the following week for Zoe 16, need to space them out anyways or else there will be a big gap between 17 and 18. If anyone has ideas for incentives for my upcoming Kickstarter for the site be sure to comment. I am hoping to raise around 300$ for a tablet and a chair to help with getting the comics done on time. Thinking of doing commissions for donations of 25$ or more, so if there is a special drawing you want to commission just email and I'll try to get to work on them so you don't have to wait months after paying to get. For commissions anything goes.

No where near done with Zoe 16 so quickly did this today which was going to be next Thursdays Zoe. I will do my best to have Zoe 16 up next Thurs, but will be working a lot of hours most of the coming days so I don't expect to get much drawing done.
Getting kinda stretched thin with drawing, and have been going and doing other things like watch movies to give me a little break from constant work on the site. Each page of Zoe generally takes at least 5 hours of work (usually about 10hrs) to get done, and with working a day job to pay the bills that means most of my free time has gone into the site. The site has been losing viewers and is back down to about 180 views a day so that is a contributing factor in my not being overly enthused)think that's a word) about drawing. After Zoe 16 I think I will focus on coming up with more 1 page and jokes to fill the void as they take less time to draw, and only do like 1 main Zoe every 3 weeks or so. Zoe 18 needs to come out in May anyways due to chronological reasons. So will use that extra time to build a buffer for times that I just can't make myself sit and draw for hours straight.

As you can see by the date on the bottom of the drawings these are nearly 5 years old. They are the 2 earliest drawings I still have.
Zoe looked pretty different back then, as time progressed I both developed the character better and became better as an artist.
When I created Zoe I was getting annoyed with anime and losing interest. About that same time I stumbled upon a American manga contest called Rising Stars of Manga or something. It sounded interesting so I thought might as well try. I came up with Zoe and came up with the style and humor of the story. It wasn't really "inspired" by but it was influenced by the last anime I watched before I said screw this repetitive BLEEP. That anime was Melancholy of Harumi or something like that. It seemed to be pretty popular at the time so I looked at it and decided what made it popular was a girl who was a little out of touch with reality and eccentric with a love interest that was basically a side kick. That sort of directed me into how I was going to take the story.
I only watched the first couple episodes so it in itself didn't really do much to influence the actual story. If any anime could be said to be an influence I would have to say His and Her Circumstances would probably be the biggest influence (though subconsciously) As for a love story in anime that was the only one that really interested me.
Long story short, It turned out that the annual contest had ended for good. I had sketched up 5 5pg comics before I realized this. Learning that there was no contest and making a webcomic never crossing my mind, I abandoned Zoe for about 4 years.
It wasn't till I randomly stumbled across Weebly, and learned I could make a website without knowing programming, that I decided to revisit the Zoe story.
